“We would like to thank Petplan Charitable Trust for the grant of £5000 to Woodlands Animal Sanctuary.

It means we will be able to continue to provide the best possible veterinary care when needed for the often desperate animals who come through our doors. Whether that be a cat, hedgehog or guinea pig.”

– Rachel, Animal Care Manager at Woodlands Animal Sanctuary

Woodlands rescues a wide variety of animals and successfully rehomes many. Based in Lancashire, the charity opened their dedicated hedgehog facility in 2015, the only one of its kind in the area. Among their permanent residents are two donkeys, Dolly and Beanie, who arrived in 2014. The sanctuary’s brand new cattery is due to open in August 2021.
