Your votes crowned Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary the winner for their veterinary suite project. This one really captured hearts! The new suite will slash their hefty £200,000 annual vet bill and generate income by serving the local community. A true game-changer. Holly Hedge’s founder, Pauline Leeson said:
“Everyone at Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary would like to convey our heartfelt thanks to the Petplan Charitable Trust for giving us the best news ever today, and giving us something to celebrate. We are absolutely over the moon to be the recipients of the prestigious award of an incredible £50,000 to purchase medical equipment so we have a fully functioning veterinary suite enabling operations and treatments to be carried out on site. Once established we hope to offer reduced rate routine operations and treatment to pets whose owners genuinely cannot afford the cost. This wonderful award will make all the difference to the well-being of our rescues. Huge thanks also to the lovely people who voted for us, we are so grateful to you for believing in us. Holly Hedge will continue to heal broken hearts, broken bones and broken spirits for as long as the animals need us.
